Weekly rentals are normally Friday with check-in at 4 PM and check-out at 10 AM the following Friday. For shorter stays, the same hours will apply. Please check with the office if an earlier or later time is required.
No. All units contain full linens for the bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen including complete kitchen pots, pans and utensils. The kitchens have a microwave oven, toaster, coffeemaker, range, and refrigerator. Satelite TV is provided. A starter set of toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergent and bars of soap are provided. You may want to stop at a local grocery before coming up the mountain to stock up on groceries, wine, beer, etc. Fred's General Mercantile, which is about a mile away has all basic necessities.
Linens are not normally exchanged during your stay. If you need to exchange linens, contact the office for exchange. An additional fee may apply.
Our air conditioning is provided by Mother Nature. Summer evenings are cool with little need for mechanical air conditioning. Just open a window and breath the cool mountain air.
Only firelogs are permitted to be burned in the fireplaces.
Pets will be allowed for Christie Village homeowners only. There will be a maximum of two (2) pets allowed per unit. There will be a $25 per pet charge per week. Pets must be well behaved and housebroken. Pets cannot disturb other residents during their stay. Pets must be crated when the owners are away from their unit. Any damage done by the pet(s) will result in an additional charge to the homeowner. There is a "no pet" policy in effect for exchanges and rentals.
No. All units of Christie Village are non-smoking. Smoking is permitted on the patios and outside areas, but guests are reminded to be cautious of fire resulting from residual smoking materials.
While cell phone coverage is available from all major providers, because we're in the mountains it does vary by carrier. If your plan includes WiFi calling, you may want to use it to stay connected.
Yes, we provide free WiFi.
During the winter months, when snow and ice is present on the roads, passage beyond Banner Elk requires either 4-wheel drive or tire chains. There is a place at the bottom of Beech Mountain Parkway where chains may be rented.
Yes, we do have a large paved parking lot.
No, but there are many dining and drinking establishments on Beech Mountain or down the mountain in Banner Elk. Additionally, delivery is available from several area restaurants.
